Surviving Tsunamis

Tsunamis are periodic world events that flood lower areas with damaging water. Lucky Dumplings uses them as spectacle and a progress gate — underleveled players get swept away, survivors with high HP earn streak rewards, coins, or temporary buffs depending on the update.

Waves originate from map edges and rise over seconds. Damage scales with wave height and your current HP pool. One-shot deaths happen when HP is far below the recommended threshold for that wave tier.

• Sky color shifting to dark blue or storm gray
• Global alarm sound
• On-screen text warning (varies by update)
• Rising water level at beaches or low paths
• NPC or billboard countdown in some versions

The moment a signal appears: stop door farming and move to elevated safe zones listed in the Map Guide. Do not chase "one more door hit" — registration lag kills the hesitant.

Safe zones are platforms, rooftops, and ridges above maximum water height. Scout routes during calm periods so panic does not send you the wrong direction. Practice jump chains — PC Spacebar, Mobile double-tap — before critical waves.

Train HP on pads so smaller waves become trivial — guide: Train HP. HP upgrades under HP Training Upgrades multiply pad efficiency.

After water recedes, collect event loot before resuming luck routes. On death, check whether streak bonuses are gone and rebuild luck at green doors before your next hatch.

For long sessions: alternate elevated training pads with door loops that end near escape routes — plan geography, not just stats.
